weeks since the shooting happened at sandy hook elementary school. and in that killed 20 young children and six duments. a candlelight vigil was held all day long in newtown. 26 candles were lit monday at midnight. volunteers spent three hours in shifts making sure those candles stayed lit and remained burning. many people are now turning to their faith to help get them through this difficult time. >> as we feel our hearts are broken in 26 little pieces, but it's the birth of jesus and we find strength in that, and so we're mourning, but we're also thinking of god at this time, that he'll give us the strength of his son. >> police officers from neighbors communities filled in in newtown for police there so those men and women could have the holiday off. >>> people all over the nation kement the survivors and the victims of the sandy hook shooting in their minds, the youngest victims of the school shooting are being remembered in the nation's capital. 20 child-like angels adoshed the altar inside the children's chapel at the washington national cathedral. this happened on christmas day.

despicable. fbi arrested a new york woman for allegedly scamming donation for the name of sandy hook elementary school raising funds for the massacre but she did it for herself. she lied during the investigation. police say she supposed -- posed as the aunt of a 6-year- old victim. she used facebook phone calls and text messages to solicit money for a funeral fund. she is accused of sending text to one of the donors who fell for her scam texting i am a mess not looking forward to seeing that casket because of what will kill us all today. 11 gunshots and his body that's what she texted to people so, she is now arrested for this scam. >>> anything you can doic do -- do i can do better. a blogger posted the addresss of a staffer after the paper published an interactive map showing the name and addresss of handgun permit owners. christopher fountain felt the article was used to harass gun owners and ahuh razzed the newspaper staff right back. the map published by the journal news on saturday allows readers to zoom in on the red dots indicating where residents are licensed to own pistols
